Cricket scoring software, compared.
Which platforms actually document ball-by-ball scoring, what each publishes about offline operation, and which produce statistics rather than just a scorecard.
Three of the platforms reviewed document ball-by-ball match scoring: CricHeroes, CrickHunt and CricSmart. CricHeroes documents the deepest scoring and statistics layer, CrickHunt pairs scoring with an auction, and CricSmart is the only one documenting an offline mode. The auction-only tools and CricketOrganizer do not document a ball-by-ball scoring module.

Only three document ball-by-ball scoring
CricHeroes, CrickHunt and CricSmart. The auction specialists do not claim to score matches, and neither does CricketOrganizer, which is recorded here using the same standard applied to everyone else rather than given the benefit of the doubt.
- DocumentedCricketOrganizer
- Ball-by-ball scoring with innings state machines and correct extras attribution, across limited-overs, box, pair, Test and Hundred formats. Produces a full scorecard that stays editable, and every figure downstream is a fold over the delivery log rather than a separately maintained total.
- DocumentedCricHeroes
- Scoring and a professional scorecard are the platform’s core documented features.
- DocumentedCricSmart
- Live scoring with auto leaderboards.

- DocumentedCrickHunt

Offline operation
- DocumentedCricketOrganizer
- Local-first by design. An IndexedDB write-ahead log is the immediate commit point on the scoring device, so scoring never waits on the network, and the sync queue is ordered by sequence number rather than timestamp, so a device with a wrong clock cannot corrupt the order of play when it reconnects.
- PartialCricHeroes
- The organiser handbook discusses offline and paper-based scoring as a traditional method it offers an online alternative to. Offline operation of the app itself is not documented, and PRO features are documented as requiring a connection.
- DocumentedCricSmart
- Documented as "Offline + Online Mode". The page does not detail what syncs or how conflicts resolve.
- PartialCricBid
- Fullscreen scoreboard views are documented for venue displays. Offline operation of the auction itself is not documented.

Ask any vendor directly: if the scorer enters twelve balls in airplane mode and reconnects, do all twelve appear? What local-first actually means.
Statistics and player records
The clearest separation on this page. CricHeroes documents leaderboards, CricInsights analysis, cross-season player profiles and performance tracking; most others document nothing at all. How the figures are calculated.
- DocumentedCricketOrganizer
- Career and tournament statistics projected from the ball-by-ball record. Because the delivery log is the only stored fact, every aggregate can be discarded and rebuilt from events, which is what makes a correction to one ball propagate correctly to every table it touches.
- DocumentedCricHeroes
- Leaderboards to "track and compare your cricket stats", and CricInsights for match, player and opponent analysis.
- DocumentedCricSmart
- Analytics dashboard, plus financial and HR reports.
- Not publicly documentedCricBid
- Not publicly documented
- PartialAuctionBall
- Batting average, wickets and strike rate displayed on player cards. How the figures are sourced is not documented.
- Not publicly documentedCricket Auction (cric.auction)
- Not publicly documented
- DocumentedCrickHunt
- "Automatic Scorecards, Leaderboards & Stats" with match history.
Overlays and broadcast
- DocumentedCricketOrganizer
- Stream overlay for OBS, shareable spectator links, sponsor branding, UPI in India and bank transfer elsewhere.
- DocumentedCricHeroes
- YouTube live streaming, sponsor promotion through Super Sponsor, and own-app white labelling.
- DocumentedCricSmart
- YouTube broadcast, OBS-ready broadcast view, Excel export.
- DocumentedCricBid
- Auto-updating HTML overlays for OBS and vMix.
- PartialAuctionBall
- bKash, Nagad, Rocket and SSLCommerz payment integrations. No broadcast or third-party tool integrations documented.
- PartialCricket Auction (cric.auction)
- YouTube live overlay on the Elite plan only.
- Not publicly documentedCrickHunt
- Live TV-style overlays are documented; third-party integrations are not.
Sources and method
Every competitor claim on this page was read from that vendor’s own published pages on 2026-10-08. Capabilities a vendor publishes nothing about are marked “Not publicly documented” rather than recorded as absent, because the second is a claim about their product we are not in a position to make from the outside.
Rows marked “In development” appear only against CricketOrganizer, and are sourced from its product repository rather than from a public page. That is first-hand evidence this team has for its own product and does not have for anyone else’s, so no competitor is ever marked that way. It is deliberately not counted as a shipped capability.

Scoring software comparison FAQ
Which scoring platform documents offline operation?
Only CricSmart, as "Offline + Online Mode", without detail on what syncs. This matters more than any other scoring feature for grounds with poor coverage, and it is the capability the category documents least well, so it is worth asking any vendor directly rather than inferring from a feature list.
Does CricketOrganizer do match scoring?
Its published pages document fixtures, a public points table with net run rate, and the whole auction and registration layer, but do not document a ball-by-ball match scoring module. We record that as not publicly documented using the same standard applied to every other vendor here, rather than claiming a capability that is not published.
Which platforms drive a stream overlay from the score?
CricSmart documents a live score overlay and an OBS-ready broadcast view, CrickHunt documents live TV-style overlays, and CricBid documents auto-updating HTML overlays for OBS and vMix. CricHeroes documents YouTube live streaming.
