Cricket registration software, compared.
Registration is the least documented stage across this category. Here is what each platform actually publishes about forms, fee handling, duplicate detection and entry caps.
Registration is the thinnest documented stage in cricket tournament software. CricketOrganizer publishes the most detail: a drag-and-drop form builder, photo upload, duplicate detection, entry caps, an approval queue, payment proof upload and zero commission on entry fees. CricSmart, CrickHunt and CricHeroes document registration without that specificity, and the auction-only tools mostly document organiser-side import instead of an entrant-facing form.

Why this stage is documented so thinly
Registration is unglamorous next to a live bidding engine, and most products in this space grew out of either the auction or the scoring rather than out of entry management. The result is that “registration” appears as a one-word tick on most feature lists with nothing behind it.
It is also the stage where an organizer loses the most hours, which makes the gap worth probing rather than accepting. What registration actually has to do.
Tournament entry forms
- DocumentedCricketOrganizer
- Drag-and-drop custom form builder, approve or reject entries, entry cap per tournament, zero commission on entry fees, payment proof upload.
- DocumentedCricHeroes
- The organiser handbook covers registering a tournament and registering teams and officials.
- DocumentedCricSmart
- Custom registration forms.
- DocumentedCricBid
- Self-serve signup links for league candidates.
- PartialAuctionBall
- Account creation with a subdomain, and team owner invitations. No tournament entry form or fee collection documented.
- Not publicly documentedCricket Auction (cric.auction)
- Players are added by the organiser; no entrant-facing registration form documented.
- DocumentedCrickHunt
- Player and team registration documented for tournament management.
Player intake
Note the distinction between an entrant-facing form and organizer-side import. Several products let an organizer upload a spreadsheet of players but document no way for a player to register themselves, which is a different product for a different situation. Form fields that matter.
- DocumentedCricketOrganizer
- Photo upload, duplicate detection, bulk player import, CSV export of registrations.
- PartialCricHeroes
- Players hold their own CricHeroes accounts and are added to teams. A tournament-level player registration form with fee collection is not documented.
- DocumentedCricSmart
- Player pool import via Excel.
- DocumentedCricBid
- Excel and CSV roster import, with category filters for batsman, bowler and all-rounder.
- PartialAuctionBall
- Players carry a photo, category, base price, jersey number and batting and bowling style. The intake method is not documented.
- PartialCricket Auction (cric.auction)
- Players added individually or by bulk CSV import, with roles and base prices assigned by the organiser.
- DocumentedCrickHunt
- Player registration as part of team, player and squad management.
The three questions to ask a vendor
- If the same player registers twice, what happens? The answer should involve the mobile number, not the name.
- Can I collect an entry fee reference through the form, and is there a commission on it?
- Does the form close itself at a cap, or do I have to watch it?
None of these is exotic, and most vendors publish nothing about any of them. Work through the whole window with the registration checklist.
Sources and method
Every competitor claim on this page was read from that vendor’s own published pages on 2026-10-08. Capabilities a vendor publishes nothing about are marked “Not publicly documented” rather than recorded as absent, because the second is a claim about their product we are not in a position to make from the outside.
Rows marked “In development” appear only against CricketOrganizer, and are sourced from its product repository rather than from a public page. That is first-hand evidence this team has for its own product and does not have for anyone else’s, so no competitor is ever marked that way. It is deliberately not counted as a shipped capability.

Registration software comparison FAQ
Why is registration so poorly documented across the category?
Because it is unglamorous next to a live bidding engine, and most platforms in this space grew out of either the auction or the scoring. It is also the stage where an organizer loses the most hours, which is why it is worth asking a vendor specific questions about duplicates, fee reconciliation and entry caps rather than accepting "registration" as a tick.
Which platforms handle entry fees?
CricketOrganizer documents payment proof upload and verification with zero commission on entry fees, plus UPI in India and bank transfer elsewhere. AuctionBall documents bKash, Nagad, Rocket and SSLCommerz as payment integrations for its own subscription. No other platform reviewed documents tournament entry fee collection.
What should registration software do about duplicates?
Reject a second entry on the same mobile number at submission. CricketOrganizer is the only platform reviewed that documents duplicate detection explicitly. Anywhere else, assume you are deduplicating a spreadsheet by hand before the auction.
